Last week I had to buy a new thirty gallon spot sprayer so I could try and get ahead of this years thistle crop. Those things are going to be everywhere this year. The spot sprayer that I bought averages about eighty psi unless you're spraying then it drops to about forty five. But that thing will spray I sprayed a thistle while driving from about thirty yards! That doesn't sound like very far but that is ridiculous for a little sprayer like that. The only thing that I don't like is the pump will burn up if there is alcohol in the fluid or if there is not enough lubricant in the fluid. The sprayer just clips on to the battery terminals and has an on/off switch so the pump won't be running unless the switch is flipped, which saves a lot of battery power. I finally got enough money to buy my fifth wheel travel trailer, that thing is fun. It takes a little encouragement from a monster maul to get the rails in the back of my truck to switch from gooseneck trailer to fifth wheel trailer hitch but it is still fun to pull and hangout in. We are in the process of buying a small tv to mount in it, the trailer comes with free satellite. We are also trying to find some good indoor/outdoor carpet that we can roll up just outside of the awning that was mounted to the trailer. This small trailer is twenty two and a half feet long and is easily pulled by a half ton truck wherever I want to pull it. Something tells me that once I get my see-do fixed I will be spending a lot of time at the lake.
My grandpa and I's lawnmowing business is starting to catch a little hold we are up to about five yards as of right now and each one of them is over five acres so we are able to keep the money rolling in while sitting on our grasshopper mowers and driving in circles. We also do a little frontloader and brush hogging work and we are always happy to do any job that needs doing.
My family wants to sell all of the hay equipment and go to just buying hay, but that won't last long especially with this hot and dry summer that is coming up. One thing that I am okay with losing will be that piece of crud White tractor. We are going to sell it so we can get the Kubota tractor that we went and looked at last week.
